CAN'T HARDLY WAIT: KEVIN BACON EXCITED FOR 'THE FOLLOWING' SEASON 3

"The Following's" second season builds to a thrilling climax tonight, as the cat-and-mouse game between Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) comes to a surprising conclusion.  Bacon believes the series' second season has been every bit as engaging -- if not more so -- as the first, and with the show already renewed for a third season, he can't wait to find out what will happen next.

The season finale of "The Following" airs tonight at 9/8 Central on FOX.

OH, SCHMIDT! MINDY KALING FORGOT TO KISS MAX GREENFIELD!

FOX viewers will get a double dose of Max Greenfield tonight.  Right after his regular gig, playing Schmidt on “New Girl,” Greenfield will guest star as a potential love interest for Dr. Mindy Lahiri on “The Mindy Project.”  The sparks will fly – and things will be implied – but much to Mindy Kaling’s dismay, they don’t do any on-screen kissing, an oversight for which Kaling takes full responsibility.

New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” air Tuesday nights, starting at 9/8 Central, on FOX

JOHNNY DEPP: ‘I’M MYSTIFIED BY WHICH MOVIES BECOME HITS’

Johnny Depp may be one of Hollywood's greatest actors, but he's also one of its greatest enigmas.  On one hand, he's starred in some big-budget blockbuster movie, like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, "Alice In Wonderland," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "Edward Scissorhands."  On the other hand, he's also taken roles he knew were doomed to the art house circuit.  But with his stardom comes expectations, so does he feel pressure to make all of his films successful?

Depp's new film, "Transcendence," opens in  theatres this Friday.

KIEFER SUTHERLAND: WHY ‘24’ FANS WANTED JACK BACK

When the clock ticked down on the eighth season of FOX’s acclaimed series “24,” the show’s passionate fans were sure they were seeing the last of Jack Bauer on television.  After all, the show’s producers had already announced that would be its final season, and while there were constantly rumors about a “24” movie, there was never any talk of a TV revival.

But when you’re talking about “24,” you can expect the unexpected – and now, Emmy winner Kiefer Sutherland is returning to FOX as Jack Bauer, facing another terrorist threat in the 12-episode event series “24: Live Another Day.”

Sometimes, series leave the air and are quickly forgotten, but as Sutherland tells us, that definitely wasn’t the case for “24,” whose fans couldn’t wait to have Jack back.

“24: Live Another Day” begins with a two-hour season premiere, Monday, May 5 on FOX.

GORDON RAMSAY WOULDN’T DREAM OF DIALING IT IN ON ‘KITCHEN NIGHTMARES’

This Friday, Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares” returns for its sixth season with a two hour premiere on FOX. As usual, Ramsay travels to restaurants whose owners are in dire need of help to save their establishments.

While there are similar shows that try to emulate what Ramsay does, “Kitchen Nightmares” still sets the bar by which all the others are judged.  How has Ramsay managed to maintain the show’s quality?  Because he takes the challenge of saving these restaurants personally and gives it his all.

STAR WARS: FANS FROM A LONG TIME AGO, AND FAR, FAR INTO THE FUTURE

Shooting has reportedly begun on the new “Star Wars” movie, which will take place in the series’ timeline following 1983’s “Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.”  While George Lucas may have handed over the directorial duties to J.J. Abrams, he’s still on board as a consultant for the new film.

It’s been 38 years since Lucas began filming the original “Star Wars,” and in that time, the franchise has made more than four and a half billion dollars worldwide.  It’s a phenomenon which has cut across both geographical and generational boundaries, since some of the moviegoers who watched the first films when they were kids are now grandparents!  Lucas told us he’s very, very proud of the fact that the films have reached so many generations of movie fans.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is set to be released on December 15, 2015.

MINDY’S EASIEST PROJECT: FINDING GREAT GUEST STARS

It’s usually a coup when a TV comedy is able to land an A-List guest star.  But for “The Mindy Project,” it’s just another week at the office.  In its first two seasons, it’s attracted stars like James Franco, Jonah Hill, Ed Helms, and Anna Gunn, to name a few.  Mindy Kaling, the show’s star, producer, writer, and namesake, told us that the reason they’ve been able to attract big names is pretty simple: She can promise them a good time and a good script.

The Mindy Project” airs Tuesday nights at 9/8 Central on FOX
