‘BONES’ PRODUCER: THE SHOW CAN GO ON FOR ‘MANY YEARS’

After a brief detour to Friday nights, "Bones" returns to Mondays on FOX. The series was recently picked up for a 10th season and continues to prosper, thanks to the obvious on-screen chemistry between leads Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, a great ensemble cast, and some clever crime-solving.

A few years ago, executive producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan had speculated they thought the show might be able to run through a 10th season, which might make the show's sizable fan base a little worried about its future. But now that he's starting to plan for that milestone season, Nathan (who will be taking over as showrunner from Hanson, its creator) is starting to realize that his earlier assessment was wrong.  These days, he can envision the series running indefinitely... even if it means watching Booth and Brennan turn old and gray!
