KEVIN BACON WAS JUST ‘FOLLOWING’ HIS WIFE’S ADVICE

Next time somebody tells you that Hollywood marriages never last, all you've got to do is bring up Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.  Not only have they stayed married for more than 25 years, they've been able to stay on Hollywood's A-List as well.  

While both Bacon and Sedgwick spent most of their careers making movies, both have transitioned to television in recent years.  First, Sedgwick took the lead role in "The Closer," which won her an Emmy Award.

So when Bacon was approached to star as Ryan Hardy on FOX's "The Following" but was unsure whether he wanted to make the kind of time commitment a TV series requires, he knew exactly who he could turn to for guidance: his wife.  And thanks to her, we now get to enjoy Bacon's formidable presence on our TV screens each Monday night.

"The Following" airs Monday nights at 9/8 Central on FOX.
