HALLE BERRY: I RETURNED TO ‘X-MEN’ BECAUSE I CAN RELATE

After playing Ororo Munroe and her alter ego, Storm, in the first “X-Men” movie, Halle Berry’s career took a big twist when she won an Oscar for the movie “Monster’s Ball.”  Some people were genuinely surprised that an Academy Award winner would go back to an action franchise like “X-Men,” but Berry returned for the movie’s two sequels.  She’ll also be back for “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” reuniting her with the original X-Men cast and director Bryan Singer.

The choice was a simple one for Berry, who loves the franchise and thinks that everyone can relate to the characters and their stories.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” – also starring Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, and Michael Fassbender (to name just a few) – will open in theaters on May 23.
